    I have a MSI 1029 with a 512 stick of PC3200 corsair memory.

-Would it be better to put another 512 stick in or can i put a 1GB stick in; with regards to stability and improvement

    thanx,
    agarde

Well since it is just DDR memory I would stick in the 1GB stick. You will see vast improvement if you are gaming and also for multi-tasking. Should see a nice improvement.

Go to www.newegg.com and look at the reviews on the memory that you are thinking about buying and what other peoples experiences were. You don't have to buy Corsair.

The 1029 loves supertalent memory. You should consider selling your corsair stick and then buying some supertalent if you plan to upgrade. I may be wrong though, posters like unleaded should know a lot more. PM him.

The primary issue with the 1029 and memory is when using more than one stick. I have not tested Corsair personally, however, to the best of my understanding, when pairing you should be OK with Supertalent and Kingston. You'll also want to check that your BIOS is updated to v2.50.
