    Hi,

I'm new to these forums, but I've liked what I've seen. I've got a question. I would like to upgrade the memory in my laptop (GT627 216), but I'm not sure what memory is compatible, what is worth the cost, etc. Advise would be greatly appreciated.

We first need to know how much memory you currently have.

EDIT: Assuming you have 4GB of memory I wouldn't recommend upgrading to 8GB unless you are made of money, it will likely run you over $500.

I currently have 4GB. I'm looking to upgrade for faster memory, not more size.

Save your money, there is NO benefit in upgrading from what you have.

Good advice. The GT627 already comes with DDR2-800, which is the fastest speed available for the mobile DDR2 interface.
