Considering the material it is made out of. How does one maintain a laptop like this?

What chemical can I use to clean the metal surface, the plastic aroudn the screen, and the screen itself?

A microfiber cloth and glass cleaner does a fine job. As long as the cleaner is mild, occasional cleaning won't damage it. Just make sure the cloth you use is damp, rather than soaked. Glass cleaner is usually streak free too, which minimizes any evidence of cleaning strokes from the liquid.
