Im considering buying a FX400 or FX600 with an i5, this may be the wrong place to ask, but are there any problems with these? I want to run some games on it (starcraft 2, wow, maybe oblivion, and diablo 3) and see no reason why it shouldnt be able to run these with the 325m dedicated card. My main concern is quality, warentee, and the wierless lan antenna. Can anyone give me some SOLID insight into the FX series (solid as in leave your internet forum speculation bs at the door please)

I know MSI doesn't fully cover shipping for warranty repairs so take what you want from that. Also the wireless antenna is rarely buggy and is perfect condition for 99% of notebooks, so I wouldn't worry about it.

You can ask it here too:

the chassis of the FX series is better than the ex and ge series, which were, to say the least terrible. Bending if you hold the laptop with both hands, dont you dare pick it up with one hand. keyboard flex. cheap plastic. the screen is poor. But the sound is great.

The gpu can play those games at the 1366*768 res, it will be playable in low to mid settings.

I have previously used the MSI GT628 and MSI GT660R and am getting my MSI FX603 early next week, I'll try to report back then. I haven't had problems with my previous MSI laptops and hopefully this one will fare just as well.

You should definitely get the MSI FX603 instead of the FX600 though, it's an updated model at the same price with the GT 425M video card and a better processor. Wireless LAN is always the same in all laptops basically, and this one comes with the Intel card so I doubt there would be any problems there.

As far as warranty goes, I've never had any problems with mine so I wouldn't know.
