Yeah gonna post some specs for the 880GB Seagate, since none seems to have this thing and all the benchies are from the usb case.

Like that says how fast or slow this thing really is; need the benchies from inside the machine.

I might do some benchies with it in my desktop 1st, cause it will probably arrive before everything else. I'll install windows 7x64, but I'll also retest when I have the MS-1727.

I am can't wait for my cpu and ram to arrive....
I just bought a Tower 5 months ago maybe with a E6300(OC'd to 4Ghz) and a 4870 Vapor-X with 4GB ram etc etc... but I am going to retire it almost for sure for the summer once I get this up and running. Summer is to hot for Towers and they waste energy. Probably going to sell it for $500.

I may have to redo the thermal paste, I installed CPU then had to check something and break the original default thermal seal and I just put it back together, maybe that's why I idle at 50degrees.

Anyone else have screens of their IDLE temps.

When OC'ing, the memory clocks bring the most increase to the vantage scores.

I could not get mine up from 1100MHz,

my max clocks were 925/1100, which got me a vantage score of 10429.

Of course, my 920XM boosted that score up by a lot.

Good luck with Overclocking to find out your stable clocks!

Nice, very nice indeed, the only bottle neck is the CPU for this GPU, or maybe i will confirm that after comparing results. I wish OCing the Clock speed on the Core made a difference besides heat.

These are at stock, no tweaking, I know when I tweak this will be over the top.
I think this laptop is faster than my OC'd E6300 to 4GHz with my ATI Vapor-X 4870; or at least very close.

Will be adding more scrns soon.

My new MS-1727 arrived today. I got rid of the heatpads on the GPU RAM chips and put some thermal paste on them instead. Then I put the modified bottom cover from my MS-1722 to the MS-1727 and run Furmark in extreme burning mode. Max temps of the Mobility 5870 were 85C after 10mins.

Here is what it says on the MSI General Product Warranty Policy: "MSI Net PCs/Barebone Systems Products are warranted for Two (2) Years Parts & Labor."

I wished they were more detailed. I'm not sure if that applies to desktop barebones or both desktop and notebook barebones...

Eww, my idle temps suck for the GPU (around 60). Might have to reapply thermal paste, maybe put more in it...

Edit: Weird, loading temperatures seem fine around 70, and my 3dmark06 score isn't abnormal (13700 with 920xm). Hopefully I just have to wait for the thermal paste to cure...

If you want lower idle temperatures, the solution is to clock your GPU lower when idle. You'll have to do this manually or with a different vBIOS.
