    Hello All

few days ago, i got a new msi-1674 barbone notebook
and i install following components :
    - intel Core 2 Duo T5750 (2.00 GHz, FSB :667mhz)
    - DDR2 memory 667mhz
    - toshiba sata HDD 250gb

i check bios and everything was ok (at that time the keyboard was ok)
So it tried to install windows vista.
The installation start copying files and everything was ok
until the time that ask to use my keyboard.
i had to select the language installation but the keboard was not responding at all and i couldnt select anything.

i finished the installation only after using an external usb keyboard

The notebook keyboard can work only outside graphic enviroment of windows.
    meaning that :
i can get in bios using del key
i can use it on a ms-dos enviroment (i had and old ms-dos bootable disc)
But i cannot use it on windows.

i can use ONLY an external usb keyboard on windows

    ANY HELP ???

I've had of similar problem before, but not on a laptop. The problem was that Windows couldn't recognize the keybord connected on PS2 port (Windows messed up its files, while it was installing). The keybord was working fine in BIOS and in DOS mode. Second reinstall fixed the problem.
Wait for other suggestions and if nothing else helps you can reinstall it again.

Hmm, interesting. You can try to uninstall the Keyboard from device manager and let the Windows to install drivers for it again. Do this without the external keyboard. If this doesn't help try with updating BIOS and Firmware. Here.
