Don't buy any PC with a CNVi Intel wireless card
The Intel 6E AX210NGW wireless card has been shipping for almost 2 months and should be what you want to be in your next notebook besides a new generation CPU.
Get the AX200 or Killer AX1650 options as they should be able to be upgraded to 6E easily if the new AX210 is not offered.
Those that own 8th and 9th generation Intel MSI notebooks like the GS75 with the AC9560 know how they got screwed with no Wi-Fi 6 upgrading possible..
It might be best to wait for NVIDIA 30 series GPUs also if you don't need to buy now.Last edited: Dec 22, 2020 -

Generation one is not compatible with generation 2.
A work around is an adapter in an empty M.2 slot where normally an NVMe SSD would go.
Doing this would require installing new antenna wires since the original wire won't reach.
In the adapter an AX200,AX1650 and the new AX210 will work but without Bluetooth

If you're planning to buy one of the notebooks linked in Strikers post#1 from Ken at Gentech I'd ask Ken if he could install an Intel 6E AX210NGW to replace the stock CNVi2 AX201.
The very best Wi-Fi should be important to every notebook and desktop buyer/builder since it's the hardware to the Internet

I blame the problem entirely on MSI.
I've reached out to MSI and Intel but the messages have fallen on deaf ears.
The GS60 2PL that I bought from Gentech in 2014 is able to use the newest Wi-Fi 6E AX210 without issue and shows 2402 Mbps theoretical date speed paired with an AX router. That notebook just keeps on ticking after 6 years and 6 to 12 hours of use every day.
