Good Morning everyone, My MSI notebook fan has been making some annoying rattling noise for some time and during a short video game test I noticed my GPU temp got to 102 Celsius.

I'm just trying to weigh out all my options, but it seems like finding replacements are really hard to come by.

It is under warranty but with the 2 weeks + shipping cost it seems better to just buy the part. At the same time however if i'm going to fork over 100 dollars for a whole cooling assembly I might as well get something to replace the 9600gt as well.

Ive been searching for the fan by itself but have had no luck.

I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions/ideas on what to do. I would probably replace the GPU with a Radeon 4850 but there seems to be mixed results on whether or not it works with the gx620.

    Thanks in advance!

I had exactly the same problem in my GT627 and:

    - They picked it up at home, so I didn't pay any shipping
    - In 5 days it was back with a new fan

That was in Spain, so I can't tell you if it works in the same way in other countries, but I guess it's supposed to

Sure, if it has a chance of working why not. What exact type of damage is the tutorial for?

    Catacylsm,

Can you please post the tutorial, I am also interested as my fan bearing is on its way out on my GT725, I know not the same but it all helps.
