I purchased an MSI GT60 just the other day with the following specs.

    3830qm
    8gb DDR
    1TB HDD 7200 rpm
    GTX 680m 4gb.

Laptop runs really well , however I am having a most odd problem. In playing several games I notice they run really well as long as the settings are maxed out and framerate doesn't hit 60fps ( vysnc / triple buff. with D3DOVerrider). If I reduce settings to maintain 60 fps I am noticing that I am gettting alot of stuttering and unsmooth gameplay. I don't get these stutters if the game is under 60fps . I would really like to be able to figure out what exactly is going on but I have had no luck. Please any help would be so much appreciated.

Are you using driver version 310.70?

    Drivers | GeForce

If not do a Custom Clean Installation.

Uncheck the boxes of the parts you may not want like NVIDIA Update.

That might be the Optimus kicking in; perhaps your integrated GPU is taking over when you reduce the load. Set your GPU's settings to high performance, and look into updating or re-installing the Optimus driver (or disable it if you can).
