I will be getting this laptop pretty soon and I was wondering if anybody else has it yet and can report on the temps they get when gaming for extended periods. I've heard that the stealth pro with the 870m tends to hit around 85-90 degrees celcius when gaming and can be uncomfortably hot. I'm curious as to how much heat a lower end 860m would generate in the same chassis.

In 3DMark 11 we saw 83-84C for the CPU and 86C for the GPU.
3DMark Vantage 88-90C for the CPU and 82C for the GPU.

Thank you! I don't know a lot about optimal temperatures so I guess my follow-up question would be, is that anywhere near a danger zone? Might i see any decrease in the lifespan of the machine at those temperatures? Also, how much of a decrease in temps would i get from ordering this laptop with xoticpc's thermal repaste service?

Slightly lower temps would be ideal but with the thin chassis the higher temps are expected. Theres just not enough room for better cooling like the GT series. They are not dangerous temps, but again could be lower.
IC Diamond will help, maybe 2-5C lower.

What was the noise like at that kind of load?
