MSI anounced the GT780 yesterday. It looks like we have a new model coming out, non raid version with options of 1 HD or HD paired with intel ssd. Here's the link:

Can any resellers chime in on when this will be available in North America?

Could this be a new improved GT780 where they have fixed the keyboard? They released the 780R a long time ago lol. I am confused :p

The version that is out now is the GT780R what was anounced yesterday is the GT780. The difference is the GT780 isn't set up for raid and historically is a little cheaper then the "R" version. MSI usually puts out non "R" versions a couple of months after the initial release.

That would be convenient for me at least, since I was going to have to pay for disabling the RAID 0 anyway. Hopefully they will also take the opportunity to fix whatever issue the keyboard seems to having.

No, check out the link. The only difference between this and the GT780R is that it is not in raid and will be probably cheaper.
The Gt780r with the GTX 570M will probably be another model with a higher pricetag.

Old news! This is simply an updated product news article, and it's refering to the same GT780. MSI has simply updated the available new storage configurations, and the link you provided does mention the availability of RAID 0.

Of course some of the added storage configurations would not be in RAID.

Also, I have had THIS original MSI product PAGE linked from the beginning, and these updates have occured here too. Also here it is highlighted, " The Specification may change without notice. The actual products sold are different from areas. Please check the detailed Specification with your local dealers."

    I hope this helps........

i guess OP has same source as engadget news : NVIDIA announces GeForce GTX 580M and 570M, availability in the Alienware M18x and MSI GT780R -- Engadget

this card seems still at distribution route somewhere at NB manufacture (or already out from there ;) ) as MSI self doesn't make any announcement just yet. even notebookcheck.com at the moment doesn't have any review about this card.

i believe retailers here will hear first (and inform us for sure..) if anything new comes up from MSI about this.
