    Hi Everyone,

My partner recently purchased this machine:

    https://www.msi.com/Workstation/WE73-8SJ

The machine is configured with the i7-8750H. Out of the box, the machine is returning a 850 Cinebench score which I feel is a bit low. I undervolted the CPU by -0.130V and now Cinebench returns a 1050 score on average. Although I am happy with the improvement, I feel I should be seeing a 1200+ score with this CPU.

The machine is not thermal throttling at all, however, I did notice that it is Power Limit Throttling quite a bit. Does anyone know a workaround/solution for this?

Currently the machine has 1 stick of 16GB Ram. I plan to add another stick in the next few weeks. Is it possible running dual channel memory will solve my performance issue?

    Thank you in advance.

It is possible that the score was lowered by the halfed memory bandwidth and Yes the norm for an i7-8750H is around 1250 for cb.

Use the unlock key combination for MSI laptops written on this page to access the hidden items in the MSI BIOS:
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...trol-of-the-i7-8750h-advanced-version.823065/

And then go here to add TDP offset (See IMON part) to the reported wattage to avoid the 45W throttling:
