So, the specs for the monitor on the Wind is 1024 x 600, which is fine.
My question is, if I connect this to an external monitor, will it support higher resolutions? Say 1280 x 720?

I like to connect my notbook to my monitor when watching shows and all that.

    Thanks!

It will support higher resolutions, no doubt. I would assume up to 1600x1200, but maybe not... I haven't tested it personally.

According to the link below, the atom processor can play regular 480 dvds ok but can't do the hd 720 outputs.

I do think it will be OK to connect it to the external monitor to watch movies, just not HD ones.

I connected mine to my 42" lcd tv and had no problems running things like hulu videos and shows.
