I read a review of he Wind over at another site and they claim that the touchpad doesn't have the ability to scroll or use corner touch zones (gestures) either. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this or if the reviewer was just inept and accidentally reported false information? Not including those very basic functions probably is a deal breaker for me in buying this otherwise amazing little machine. It doesn't seem to make any sense that they wouldn't include those features.
If it turns out that it doesn't include those features is there a way to get the touchpad to do that with 3rd party drivers? Does anyone even know who is making the touchpad on the MSI Wind. This is actually starting to get really annoying that laptop manufacturers don't give every shred of information on the products they are imminently going to release. The Wind supposedly goes on sale on Tuesday and we really still don't know everything about it.
It seems foolish that MSI wouldn't open the info floodgates for potential buyers. Now I will probably have to wait until other people buy it and see what they have to say about it. That's just very dumb of the MSI. In that time, something better might be announced and I might decide to wait for. Dell already announced their subnotebook, they didn't release any info on it really and I decided to say to hell with them. But every day that goes by gives Dell (and others) more opportunity to steal me away from MSI.

How do you get to post in this section?

I accidentally posted it to this section, I didn't mean to at all. I didn't even realize I wasn't supposed to be allowed to. It let me though. If any moderators can move this to the appropriate section, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Touchpad does have scrolling as confirmed by someone already with a Wind. That Laptop Magazine review is just spreading a bunch of FUD. What they probably meant is that it wasn't marked. -
It looks like it wasn't all FUD. MSI sold a small number of Winds initially, and delivered display models, and review units, with a full-featured Synaptic touchpad... and then, without informing anyone, switched to an inferior model by a practically unknown manufacturer named Sentelic. No more slide-to-scroll, for example. Also, strangely, it is not possible on the new models to disable tap-to-click. Hilarity ensues :-(

For me the tap to click can be turned on and off, and the very upper right and lower right (each about the size of my index finger tip) has scroll on touch. This works really well btw.
NOTE: I'll get a full review of the Wind up in a couple of days. ^-^ -
With the touch pad so small a wireless mouse almost should be included.

Haha, I just saw the news about the switched touchpads as well. The MSI Wind had a lot of stuff going for it, and they completely ruined it by screwing with the touchpad. The horrible touchpad on my work D630 is the only reason why I dont use it more often. Touchpads make or break a notebook.

I just bought one and it acame with one that doesnt support scrolling. Its really annoying.
