    Hey is the warranty for MSI machines based on the machine itself or is it registered to the user.

    I might purchase a uused one so i was wondering how the warranty would transfer

    Someone was saying on the forums a month ago that you can't transfer MSI warranties. I haven't confirmed this, though, so you'll need a second response.

    On MSI's website they are very strict about it. The answer is a definite no.

    Effective date starting February 1st, 2010, MSI Computer Corp., hereunder MSI, offers a Thirty-Six (36) months limited warranty on select MSI Branded Notebook Product only, hereunder Product from the manufacturing date. If customer registers the Product online, the limited warranty will become Thirty-Six (36) months from the original date of purchase*; the limited warranty is under no circumstances transferable to any other party that is not the original buyer of the Product. This limited warranty only covers the Product that is purchased in the United States and Canada.
