    Hey,

Recently picked up a GE60 and have noticed that the warranty sticker covering a single screw hole prevents me from even opening the back panel. Now this is literally the first laptop I've had (previously Alienwares) which hasn't allowed me to even open the back panel, i'm very used to making aftermarket changes & upgrades myself.

Just wondering, how worth while is MSI's warranty? Has anyone had to make a warranty claim within the first 1 year & what was the process? I'm in Australia so really hoping it doesn't have to be sent overseas, if i'm looking at 2-3 weeks downtime it may be worth just voiding the warranty and doing fixes myself. How strict is MSI with warranty? Will removing that warranty sticker void the ENTIRE warranty? I primarily want to change the 1x8GB RAM and the hard drives to something else.

    Cheers,
    Rish.

Every country has its own warranty points/differencies...
But What i read is that when you open backpanel and don't screw up something while upgrading things, you won't lose warranty itself.

I'd contact your reseller and check with them as they will know your local policy best.
