Hey guys was wondering if anyone had a bug like this happen to them. Suddenly out of the blue msi true color wouldn't load and I get an error saying error loading configuration file or something along those lines. A uninstall and reinstall didn't fix it. After removing all traces of msi true color from app data I was able to start the program again however now nothing works. Changing the preset color to say anti blue, movie, gaming, rgb does nothing to the screen. Only thing that works is the brightness setting.

I've already contacted the makers of the software and was told to update to a newer version but that didn't help either.

I know a factory restore will fix it but to be honest it doesn't feel worth it to me so I thought to ask you guys and see if anyone has had something similar happen and managed to fixed it.

First time hearing about it here. Did you notice any rhyme or reason to it, like Windows updated and then *smack*, not working? Have you already talked with MSI support?

Not really. Wasn't after any Windows update or driver update for that matter it was really out of nowhere. I haven't tried MSI support yet but if the developers of the program itself weren't of much help I am not sure what they could do. I'll contact them tonight. I would still like to hear any possible methods you guys might have of fixing this.

Just a couple of wild guesses:

    1. Use a program like Revo Uninstaller (or use Revo) to remove the program, then reinstall it normally.
    2. Uninstall the driver for your monitor, then reboot the computer (it will reinstall automatically).

Let us know if you find anything out.

Thanks for the tips, sadly it didn't help. I am going to contact MSI support and see if they can help me resolve this. If anyone else has any recommendations please chime in.

Nope. Msi support wasn't helpful either. They asked me to download a newer version which I did and it did not help. Only way to fix it probably is to do a restore but it's not worth the hassle imo I just ended up uninstalling msi true color.
