    Hello,
I've decided to create this thread, because recently there were some questions about GPU temps in MSI laptops.(GT78X, GT68X and Whitebooks 16F2, 1761).
So, I thought it would be nice to collect all data in one place.
Let's post screenshot with HW monitor(with idle and max temps recorded) or HWinfo thermal sensors window and GPU-z window open. And don't forget to post your ambient temp, thermal paste, external cooler model(if you are using one) and laptop model.
Knowing this data, we will be able to help one another with overheating and other thermal related questions.
This is my idle temps. Ambient temperature 28C

Will post my max load temps later.

Good idea for a thread, but wouldn't it be more useful to post a screen shot after say 30mins of gaming? Maybe even list the game?
It would be more beneficial to know starting temps (idle) and then max gpu & cpu temps after they've been doing a bit of hard work :)

That's what I was planning to do. I've got some results with some stock and OCed GPU at 24C ambient.
Screenshots of stock and Overclocked 570M(720/1440/1850 core/shader/memory) in Battlefield 3 and Crysis 2. Driver version 295.73.

Heres mine after 30 mins of Skyrim.

    GX660R upgraded with a HD6970m at stock clocks, and a 920xm with all 4cores at 2.9Ghz

    Turbo fan is ON.

As you can see the GPU voltage is at 1.10v, although I can run and set it to 0.96v to run cooler, I cant seem to make the setting stick when windows reboots. (using ati tool).

I just got my GT683 in with 570M. IC Diamond TP. First game I've run is SWTOR.

With Turbo and Cooler Boost on I'm getting 75C. With cooler boost off I'm averaging 80C. Is that safe? Is it normal? I'm a little concerned.

It's my first time really getting into this type of detail, so I'm not too experienced and not sure. Help is appreciated!

Ambient temperature is showing 28 C.

Idle GPU temp usually hovers around 40 C.

That shouldn't be your card crashing at 80 Celsius. The mobile cards can withstand much more than that. Probably Battle Field.

With that ambient your temps are ok. As was said earlier anything below 90C is safe for mobile GPUs.

If your a fan of MMORPG's, I wouldn't waste your time. I played Skyrim for about 3 hours and it was very lonely. I just got bored with it...FAST!

If I don't use my turbo fan I will hit high 80s on the GPU all day. There is nothing wrong with that either. Mobile GPUs are designed to take the abuse. My old 5870m would stay in the 70s but was obviously not the powerhouse my 6990m is. With turbo fan on brings temps down to around high 70s. My 55w 920xm also pushes the temps up a fair bit. Im hoping the 7000 series is compatible so I can swap out again. Or maybe get a new Lappy.

Here 2720qm + 580M both o/c: GPU temps max out at 85°C after few hours of BF3
