Hello all,
I purchase a GP60 2OD today from a local computer store and when I went to start it up I found there was no operating system and the F3 recovery would not work. This computer was an open box and I got a really good deal on it, so I would not like to return it. Can anyone tell me if my GT70 2PC recovery media will work to restore the GP60? If so does the recovery media copy my windows key or will it pick up the one for the GP60? I cannot find the windows key anywhere, but I think they are now encoding them in the BIOS correct? I would uninstall and reinstall all the correct drivers for the GP60 once up and running.
Thanks

Well it looks like it works. I cannot find any issues with the system so far.

Be sure to generate the recovery media using MSI BurnRecovery utility.
You can press Windows logo key, and then search for BurnRecovery to find the utility, or you can look for it on the desktop mode. -
Thanks Kevin! The GP60 is actually for a family member. I spoke to MSI and they are going to send me a restore disk.
