Do MSIs have a record of overheating? I'm looking for a laptop that I can leave on for almost 30-40 hours at a time.. I've never had a laptop.. but my friends always complain about their laptops overheating and dying on them. Is it even allowed for laptops to stay on this long? Thanks in advance!

(I really like the MS-1039 btw!)

They dont overheat any more than other notebooks, If your going to leave it on for long periods of time you should prop up the back to allow air flow or maybe consider a laptop cooler.

On the MS-1029, there were reports of some overheating, which could be solved with an application of Arctic Silver on the CPU/GPU cores.

The 1013 was also suspected of overheating with higher-end CPUs (MT-37 and MT040). These were also treated with Arctic Silver, which solved most of the issues.

The latest models have not had any reports of overheating currently.
