    Hi all,
I've recently bought 120GB Corsair Force GT ssd for my MS 1761 barebone notebook. The barebone laptop only sometimes detect the ssd when set to ide or raid with random disconnection & cannot install windows. When set to acpi, the laptop didn't detect the ssd at all. Hope you all can help give me solution or maybe some of you got the same problem with these corair ssd or maybe the ssd is broken? Tq

It may just be a compatibility issue, but check the firmware for updates like dragon stated.

The ssd is new & already flashed with the latest 1.3.2 firmware. I should have bought the crucial m4 like you guys. Besides that, does the msi 1761 barebone or gt780 have problem with sandforce controller?

I've heard of Intel chipsets having a harder time with the sandforce controllers, but I've also heard the same for Marvell. I know that many of the gt780 series owners have had success with the OCZ ssds. I went with the m4 simply because of it's reliability and price.

I sincerely hope that your OCZ Vertex 3 would avoid OCZ's RMA ping-pong game.
Proceed with caution... OCZ Vertex 3 Forum is filled with many complaints and repeat RMA stories.
