    Any experiences and suggestions for a good third party alternative from vendors like Tech Rover, AGPtek, BattPit, etc?

    battery alternatives generally are made from cheap cells. I have used them more then a few times for various devices and they leave much to be desired. considering that alternatives are 3-4 times less expensive then original I would still buy alternatives when originals are no longer made or may have long shelf life. ms-1651 can still be purchased new and original

    Concurring with Geared2play here: Most are of inferior parts which is why they're generally cheaper. Suggestions to go with OEM batteries is not out of a fiscal vendetta, it's out of concern for longevity and compatibility.
