Does anyone have any info on the battery life for the MSI MS-1223? I'm planning to order one this week. Thanks!

We havn't had a chance to test this model yet as it has recently arrived. The battery life should be better that the previous MS-1221, there was a thread about that you can find here:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=127191&page=3

This model you can use the new "P" series cpu's which are 25W rather than 35W. This may slightly increase your battery life. The MS-1221 was able to go 3.6 hrs with the specs below playing a DVD on max power savings:

    MS-1221
    T7500
    Intel X3100
    4GB Kingston
    Intel Turbo Memory 1GB
    200GB 7200RPM SATA
    Intel 4965 Wireless
    8 Cell (4400mAh) stock battery
Vista Ultimate in Power saver mode-stock settings, made no changes to power plan.

The original release of the 1221 had a 4400mah battery which is what this test had. All the current 12" ship with a 4800mah battery which will add some to your run time also.
