    MSI MS 1722 CPU Question

    I need to know if a T7700 cpu will work in this, here are the spec's:

    Operation system Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit
    Processor Support Intel® Penryn 45nm socket P mobile processor
    Chipset Intel® PM45 + ICH9-M
    Graphics & Video Module NVIDIA® Geforce 9600M-GT 512MB
    Main Memory DDR2 667/800 SO-DIMM x 2 slots,
    MAX: 4GB (2GB DDR2 SO-DIMM x 2)
    Display 17" WUXGA (1920 x 1200)

    The T7700 is a socket P but doesnt run at 1066 only 800. I have a T7700 laying around so I need to know if this will work or not.

    Yes I bought this laptop at a good price.

    It should work. but with ms-1722 people reported issues with different CPUs. I got p8400 works fine out of the box. Since you already have T7700 and already bought a laptop would it really matter thou.

    I believe you have to update the bios for this processor to work.
