Hi there! Brand new user, as you can see, and just got myself the MSI M677 laptop. I'm pretty impressed with it so far (only ran the 1 game, and that ran MUCH better than I expected!), but already i'm considering possible upgrade paths, so I want to get some clarifications.

    1) The machine came with 2GB DDR2400 installed. I understand this model of laptop can take upto DDR2633 (I think i'm right on that). So, i'm intending to replace this with a couple of paired RAM strips. However, MSI claim 2GB is the max the laptop can support, while i've seen some german forums stating they have 4GB in their laptops. Can anyone confirm if 2GB really is the max?

    2) How easy is it to replace the CPU in these things? And what's the max they can take? (I believe I read 1.8Ghz/2Ghz is the max... and while the 1.6 is currently running ok, i'd like to swap it out).

    3) GFX cards... I know it has the MXM Type 2 slot, and i've found a shop that will sell cards for it AND give advice on installation. The laptop already appears to have a cooling issue (shuts down after 20 mins of playing EverQuest 2), so do I need to take any precautions here? Anyone have any idea on the max GFX card I can put in it?

Lot's of complicated questions, but i'm trying to find out as much about my new purchase as I can. :) Thanks in advance for any replies!
