    I give up.
I will wait for MSI to update it. I just realized that the more mess with Windows 10 and drivers it just get worse.
Before this latest Windows update everything was fine except for Dragon Center. Then I tried updating Windows just to see if Dragon Center would work, but now everything is a mess.
...The keyboard freezes a lot while I'm typing and make a bunch of letters repeat like if a key was stuck, the screen now has a weird feeling when I scroll things up and down, touchpad scroll with two fingers stopped working (even when enabled), Windows started downloading unwanted sponsored apps (even with tweak disabling it) and Dragon Center still not working...

    I really give up

Well, for much less long term effort, you could install Windows 8.1, or even Windows 7, and enjoy your laptop now.

Wait another couple of years, and MS should have Windows 10 stable to the point that Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 enjoy right now :)

Yeah, 2 *more* on top of the 2 that have already been released over 12 months :)

    2 + 2 = 4, not *2*.

I *love* how MS pulled off that little shenanigan without anyone noticing o_O

    That's really sad to hear.

Phoenix told me to stick to the MSI release of the steel series driver and not to let the steel series engine to update itself... probably because we know it works here.

Have you attempted a format and reboot of windows, putting drivers on as per Phoenix's thread?

I'd highly recommend his v3 windows ISO if he's willing to share, check his thread for what it included.

Jeeze it's hard to type recommendations to try here without sounding like you're a @Phoenix fan girl haha. But it's true he's contributed many useful threads that's worthy of directing people to. I don't know if it will help, or what you've actually tried, but I'm sad to hear anybody having trouble with their system by no fault of their own.

With these things that we spend so much of our time using, we just want it to work, so we can enjoy using them. That's why we spend the money on our chosen machines. The trouble with adapting is learning the process along the way. The biggest lesson for me, coming from a 5 year old laptop to this one, is drivers where rarely released for that laptop while this one, I can almost not keep up with all the updates!

I hope you can fix the problem what ever it is, and enjoy your laptop again.

I was using MSI version of SteelSeries Engine, now I'm trying the latest one from SteelSeries and it appears that the keyboard bug is gone.

Dont forget to edit dnsapi.dll with a better Hex editor or IDA,
to get rid of the hardcoded MS DNS adresses, but i guess this
goes too deep into the rabbithole.

hey, I am still running the stock MS drivers for my 960evo, "Standard NVM Express Controller" - is it risky to install the samsung drivers? Any noticable benefit?

That's why the Obsidian Tools utility exists. However, my Clevo days will be coming to an end and I'm jumping back on the MSI train after a 7-year or so absence - my last such laptop was a GX740, which had a 16:10 screen and Radeon Mobility 5870 - one of the best GPUs AMD ever made.

    Wondering about the first post,

    But no3 is IRST

Im just wondering if for a single Samsung 960Pro and a mechanical 2tb, would you still recommend to use intels IRST or leave windows default?

Bare with me, as i been out from MSI latest, in the past there were ATK drivers for keyboard, are this not needed or included in the steelseries engine?

    Hi Phoenix,

regarding the nahimic drivers, I've installed nahimic 2+ (version 2.55) that is newer then the last 2.3. I'm using it without problems. Is there any disadvantages in using this newer version?

    Regards,
    Hugo

Not really, if it works fine, let it be. I personally have learned from past experience to ALWAYS stick to manufacturer drivers when it comes to Audio, Card Reader, Touchpad drivers. The Intel drivers are safer to update on your own like the IRST since they are chipset specific and not laptop specific.

Which I see there are differences on nahimic for notebooks. And for pc. Because nahimic version 2.5.5 has long been issued on the download motherboard drivers from msi. Or pc gaming msi. While the new laptop version circulated version 2.3.17. And a few days ago it has been in lyrical version 2.3.20. But I am having problems when installing nahimic. When installing cyberlink media suite happens freeze installation. Finally i uninstalled nahimic. And cyberlink successfully installed without any problems
Because cyberlink having problems at the time of installing and looking for audio support on laptop realtek hd audio which wrapped in nahimic. Now i do not use nahimic. Due to fear of having problems while editting audio or video

However when i see the gt75vr video. Nahimic installed is nahimic 2+ version. Whether it's a keberapa version. Looks like nahimic 2.5.5 / 2.5.6
