    hiya!

I started to plan to put a new aftermarket IPS monitor since the original equiped monitors are prone to burn-in issue with certain colors! I recently replace the monitor under the warranty and same thing happening again, ARGH!!!

any ideas? %0 about monitors but heard about IPS screen, and I'm interested.

Umm, no MSI LCDs are not crap because MSI does not make LCDs. They are made by LG, AUO, Samsung and they are the same LCDs installed on all other brands of laptops.

Well, this is the wrong forum section for that unless you mean you want to upgrade the internal LCD to an IPS one.

Like every manufacturer the panel will vary depending on the batch of the machine.

My 16F2 came with the AUO B156HW01 v.4 screen which was a awesome screen.

But I am not sure you can upgrade the laptop display to an IPS screen.

IPS panels usually have higher bit depth which requires a 50pin as opposed to the 40 pin your cable supports.

The AUO V4 panel is very nice.
