    Hi guys,

I bought notebook ( MSI ? Notebook - GE620DX) but its lcd is so crappy. The resolution of Samsung 156AT05-H01 1366x768 is very good for gaming, but for work not. So I decided to replace lcd with AUO FullHD one. But now before I buy a one I have some doubts:

    1. Is LDVD cable connector I have one compatible with FullHD? (I dont know the part number)? Is it possible to check the part number without disassembling)

    2. Which LCD I should buy and use for replacing?

Guys I believe in you, cause MSI service left me without any answer.

    best regards

    M.M.

You would need to take pictures of the cable and see if they make one like it full HD, even if they do I believe they never made a model with a full HD screen so the circuitry on the motherboard may not be capable of it.

    Hi,

The question came, because there is a notebook GE620( MSI Global ? Notebook - GE620, which is so similar to GE620DX and offered with FulHD lcd. If they are different in architecture (I doubt no) it could be true, replace to fulhd is not possible, but otherwise....

Yeah, I will check the cable connector to lcd.

    best regards

Ah then you should find the cable part number from there. MSI will stick to the same innards as much as possible to save money.

    Hi,

after unassembly lcd I found a cable which has a stamp on it. I attached a photo of that cable, so if anyone could identify that part and answer on main question:

Is that cable could be reused for a fulhd led lcd? Or not?

    best regards
