Well, I finally took the plunge and bought this gem yesterday, but being a novice to laptops I'm not really sure what I'll need to update when I get it, let alone how to update the necessary components.

I've read that this thing tends to get really hot without updating the bios, vbios (I'm unfamiliar with this), and the graphics driver. I'm a pretty intense gamer and I really want this thing to last me as long as possible without any heat-induced hardware degradation. With that said, what specifically would you guys recommend that I update right out of the box, and where would I go to find these updates? I'm a little nervous about updating the bios because of the "bricking" risk, but I've done it before with my desktop so if it's worth the risk, I'll probably take it. The vbios isn't really something I've ever heard of, or messed with, but I've read it can bring the temps down considerably. Is it as risky as the regular bios update and is it difficult to perform?

In short, I just want to do whatever I can to make sure this machine runs as cool and smooth as possible and if any of you can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it :).

    Thanks for any information.
