Hehe awesome man, im glad performance is shining,

The subwoofer needs some tweeking to actually get some lower frequencies out of, but i actually really enjoy the sound on the machine,

SRS emulation rubbish, i dont care about it, ill take the raw sound from speakers with no expanders ontop of that, and the realtek driver should work great too? try update it from their website,

The microsoft stuff is junk in my opinion so dont bother with it

The bios probably has like USB support to boot from, so this could be why your notebook refuses to turn on also (My ipod does this to mine too :p)

The keyboard im certain wont hang (Ive never had that)

I hope your experience is good with the machine and look forward to the video review! :)

Oh also if you dont read the book, your machine has a nice audio array,

4 Analogue ports for 7.1 surround sound,
1 TOSLINK to Optical conversion port
    And 1 spdif port :).

how do i tweak the subwoofer? i wanna hear some low frequency sounds.
And i already tried the latest realtek drivers...but i dont hear any sound difference between the windows drivers and the realtek drivers, from my speakers.

i ofcource also have a big sound system by creative, but i'd like some bass and good sound on-the-go.

oh and check the link again. i uploaded the video.

Its not bass in the sense but it does cover some of the lower frequencies, i mean if your sat in a room, you will feel the bass on your hands and laptop.

If you have the realtek pannel up, first you can try set the equaliser to powerful, then you can right click the bottom right speaker icon, hit playback and you should have some tabs come up,

Dolby options has a bass booster in there, also your speakers probably need some break in time too,

    Nice video!

Just a quick comment, don't put the laptop on a surface like that, there are many, many notebooks that have died because of that. It blocks off all air intakes and chokes the notebook to death. Not only that, what amount of air it does take in has a healthy dose of dust also.

Nice review, I'm glad you liked your new toy! :)
I wanted to mention something about the subwoofer and base. In order to "hear" base out of it you have to place the laptop on your knees, then you'll see a big difference in the sound. When I did that with mine I was amazed. The low frequency goes through your body and it's awesome. Enjoy it! :)

time to break in? i dont understand...
tried messing with realtek configuration today, nothing seems to help to boost the subwoofer, exept equalisers, but they kill the quality of the music.

In US here, and I've seen one store claim to have a few in stock. Good that the Netherlands is getting them first and can give us good reviews first.

It's been a funny couple of weeks. The GX640 and 1727 barebones w/ 5870 came out while the 1656 barebones w/5850 and GX740 haven't come out yet in NA

I was going to place an order for one through XOTIC however they said they don't know when it's going to be it in stock.

Does anyone have any idea when it will be shipping in the US?

Speakers have a run in period for the magnetic coils etc etc, So they sound very "Bright" and fixated to frequency, after 75 hours to 100 odd hours they should start to sound much better, so dont excuse them yet.

100 to 200 hours break in, give it time man, and remember its a laptop anyway, i've heard a range of dells, alienwares, sonies, blah blah blah, and the sound isn't any different tbh, they all feature the tiny sub,

The only real sound laptop would probably be

    A) The toshiba x series with harmon kardon sticks
    B) The MSI GT660 will most definately have a good audio system
