    Hello folks,
Got a bit of a problem here.

My MSI GX740 has just underwent a VBIOS update from this forum here. It's purpose was to fix the fuzzy screen. But now I've got a new problem...

I get artifacts on the battery mode (no power plugged in). It happends when it's idling on the desktop, and when I run FURMARK (vga stress testing) it gets worse, the purple pixels / artifacts jump all over the screen.

However as soon as I put the powerplug in the pixels dissapear and everything turns to normal.

I really don't know what to do, any help would be appreciated. I don't want to f*ck up my new laptop. I just wanted to remove the fuzzy pixels.

Also is it normal that my 5870m gets to 102 degrees celsius in furmark?

    Here's some info via HWINFO32:

Your clocks are all messed up. It should be 100/150 on idle while in battery and AC mode. At peak it should be 700/1000.

Also it's not normal for it to be getting 102C in FurMark. If this is after the vBIOS update then you really need to repaste.

How did you do your vBIOS update anyway?

Read a topic with your recommendation for a vbios update.
Also this wasn't with the ECO utility on.

I made a USB startup disk with the files of the vbios, then updated using the given files. Can't remember what exactly, but it went all well and got no errors.

    Via these instruction of yours:

And now all hell broke lose :')

Can you download GPU-Z and go to the sensor tab and run furmark. Then while furmark is running, check the VDDC. If it's at 1.05V then there's definitely something wrong with the thermal paste because there's no way it should be getting 97C on the new vBIOS.

If it says 1.15V then you're still using the old vBIOS for some reason.
