    Hello all.
I did a quick search and couldn't find much on this subject. I recently purchased the GX730 and it's been great thus far. On about the 3rd or 4th day of owning the machine the touch sensors at the top eco mode, turbo, camera, wireless etc) aren't working. I tried looking in the SCM but the program doesn't open. Under the programs list its there but it won't load.

any idea on how to make those buttons work? without them i can't use my camera or wireless router. any help is appreciated
    thanks

Uninstall it. And get a newer version from the MSI website.

Try using the tutorial found in my signature, under "All other drivers HERE"

Let me know it this helps.

EDIT: This tutorial is made for the GT725, but as far as I know the touch sensor on yours is the same hardware.

Do you have System control manager installed, as well as the hp infared receiver drivers?

it is installed. i can see it in the right corner and listed under the program files. i've tried the one off the cd and off the web. it installs fine, then when i try to boot the program nothing happens.

and why would i need hp drivers? are they the ones who made the touch sensor thing for msi?

edit: here'ss the current version of the scm i have, i can't rememberif its the one from the msi site or off the cd

just an update for everyone in case they get the same problem. turned out to be something wrong with my mother board. regardless, msi replaced it for free and now everything perfectly thus far.

Good to hear. Just out of curiosity, how was MSIs warranty support?

great i guess. i am lucky enough to live somewhat close to the msi office in canada. so i brought it in today and they swapped it without even asking if it was still in warranty or w/e. (although i did mention i only bought it a few weeks ago)
