    It does ;)

[un]fortunately you have to mod the heatsink. The part that covers the vRAM on the top right (if the MXM pins are the bottom) is smack over a big grey VRM. Yes, VRAM & VRMs 2 different things. :D
..At least on my card. yup its a1, don't press...

-ALSO- important info for testers.... MSI seems to call a MXM structure interrupt when Clevo doesn't!! so for some reason this particular card working perfectly on the gx640 does not work at all on the w870cu.

Good work! Any pics of the mod?

This card is underclocked... any reason for this?

Well next up is the gtx 470m. In the past I've said it didn't work, but actually it was my card.
At least we know it supports SOME nvidia 400 series, that was the point of posting this.

About the downclocking, like I said, its A1

I reversed the heatsink mod, and it messed up my heatsink. Also there were some more parts that probably needed cooling. So I'm going to rebuild the heatsink it and try this again with a copper plate from a w860cu gpu heatsink.
I don't think the mod is something most people would like to try, obviously it didn't turn out well even for me. Which is why its so important that I actually solder a new GPU plate on, proving that it can be done.

I HATE this heatsink. Why do they make the bends in it when you have to use thermal pads anyway? This is honestly not as good as something I could make with my own two hands and a copper plate.

    Thanks, missed that.

Good luck with the 470m... I tried to put it in 2 different systems, it worked in the M15x, but without modding the vbios it was stuck at 2d clocks.

I didn't cool half of the VRAM on the 470m, it's not a big deal as long as the die gets proper cooling.

Niffcreature /// I just want to ask something in your picture, it seems you have overclocked voltage to 0.95 on GTX 460M ??? what did you use Nibitor? or something else ? coz this card max voltage 0.912 " fermi structure " but in picture it seems 0.95 V
I use my 460M 825/1650/1600 and on stock voltage max 0.912
