I was wondering what settings you use. I can see that it's not CPU power it needs since a turn not even max out cpu usage. The game is smooth until I press next turn, then it stutters until finished. So now I was wondering if I'm pushing too hard or that's just the way it is

ok new update, after playing for a good 30 mins i get around 40-70 fps maxed out cept AA on native res (gx640). No stuttering at all and game looks and works beautifully for me.

In the later stages of huge games of civ that's how it's always been in my experience but to be fair I haven't played much civ v yet.

I'm not experienced at all, I have played for like 6 hours and I'm around 1900 and stuttering during turns are really noticable :) but only during turns.

yeah haven't been checking it, did now. Just wedge something in there on the top, not longer than the drive bay length, careful.

You and Ghola owns a i7 and as far as I know that makes the difference since it's very much cpu dependente. I have no stuttering until I push next turn and it's mostly visible with huge maps :p
