    MSI GX630 need help

    BOOTMGR is missing
    Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart

    I don't know what to do, I'm running on vista and wasn't given a recory disc.

    Try pressing F10 or whatever the recovery button is when you turn on the laptop. press it repeatedly till you get to the recovery screen.

    Press DEL key to run setup
    Press F11 key to run Boot Menu

    Thats what it says at the start menu

    Try Boot Menu, it might be in there.

    When I select that one it goes straight to BOOTMGR is missing press ctrl alt del to restart.

    sounds like a corrupted system image.

    spam the recovery button during POST (probably the F8 button for you) and try a startup repair or system restore

    It just keeps going to BOOTMGR is missing press ctrl alt del to restart, is this fixable?

    It will let me into apitio setup utility, but from there don't know what to do.

    You have to have a Vista DVD to get it fixed, can't you borrow one from a friend?

    Then you are out of luck, because its the only way to repair it.

    Why don't you buy Windows 7 instead of that Vista crap?

    instead od fixing boot manager, is there like a return to factory settings button of some sort I can press to fix?

    When I updated my bios to the latest version, just after post it said hold Fn + (something, forgot what it was) for recovery.

    Maybe you should update your bios.
