    Does MSI GX620 have aluminum chassis?

    yes it does. brushed aluminum. its just the under side that's plastic.

    Just the palm rests and top of lid are brushed aluminum, the rest is strong plastic..

    So, the top is aluminum, the inside (palm rest) and bottom are plastic?

    Thanks for response, it is hard to tell from the pictures.

    The advantage of plastic is that it does not get as hot as metal.

    Yeah, said someone who owns MBP :)) I love MBP design however I cannot live with Apple OS.

    But metal chassis conducts the heat and takes it from the motherboard, no?

    its only cosmetic.. the lid and top coating of the palmrest the rest plstic..

    I think it increases the rigidity of the lid and palm rest area without having to use thick plastics.

    the brushed coating is VERY thin. if you look straight down the palmrest you can actually see 3 raised areas where the inside is pressing up on the top layer is also pretty flexable if you try to press on the stuff

    Well it flexes less than my ifl90 so I'm not complaining.
