    Hi all,

I just got my GX620, and after taking in a few notes on things I liked and didn't like, I decided to put Vista ultimate 64 on it. I've run into two problems so far:

    1) Dolby control no longer works and crashes whenever it is run - I assume this is a 64 bit incompatibility at the driver level.

    2) My turbo/eco buttons no longer work. I have installed all of the drivers, including the SCM, but I can't get the turbo/eco buttons to work.

I really would hate to go back to 32bit as it would suck to loose as much ram as one does in 32 bit mode when the unit comes with 4gigs worth, I will if I have to, but I'd really like to keep my 64 ultimate on there.

Any tips and/or suggestions would be appreciated!!

I'll have to get back to you on #1, but my ECO/Turbo button is working perfectly fine. Make sure you have the CIR driver installed, then install the SCM afterwards. Remove your current SCM and install the one from MSI's website.

Thanks for the response - I uninstalled the SCM, reinstalled CIR, reinstall SCM from web and the turbo button appears to be working - although I still have to run something to determine if it is really OC'd or not.

I'm going to try to do a reinstall of the chipset drivers using what's on the website - I came across a topic somewhere on the net referring to an issue with intel updates fixing a problem with dolby CC and vista 64... well, we'll see.

Try running CPUZ without turbo and check your core speed. Then press the turbo while CPUZ is still running and check if your core speed changes.

I just installed it on my 1722 ID running win7 x64 and it works. Just remember to run the installer as an Admin.

Check the Dolby Control function within Media Center it's great. allows you to adjust the sound options.

i have test it on GX620 ms-1651 with Vista x64 SP2 and it is working , i used winrar to unzip "dolby_control_2.2.1.exe".
those are the main installers inside :

    DCC_v221_x64.exe
    DCC_v221_x86.exe

i've used "DCC_v221_x64.exe" to install it.

    you are welcome

Well the dolby can actually give more "umf" to your laptop's sub woofer.
