I just purchased an Intel X9000 from Ebay and will hopefully try to install it on my GX600 this weekend and will try to do some testings with the Turbo button and also with all the BIOS settings set to max. I am estimating that it will run around 3.2-3.4+ GHZ !!! This laptop is really awesome !!! God Bless![]()

yeah i just wish it had a 8800 series gpu at least in it and i would have owned one already.... i almost bought one but i could not live with only the 8600.. good luck

From my understanding from a place that sells this model, he said that in the very near future, that there is a very good possiblity that these will have the 9600M GT instead of the 8600M GT. In the desktop world the 9600GT is just a hair or 2 below the 8800GT but better much better than the 8600GT. God Bless

but not in the notebook world.. even the 8800gtx from a notebook isd not nearly the same as one for a desktop..

You are correct that the notebook GPU's are not like the desktop ones speedwise, but what I was trying to imply is the scaling. If the 9600GT in the desktop world is just a hair or 2 below the 8800GT then it should also be the same in the notebook world too. God Bless -
Well, according to the rumours, the mobile 9600GT is gonna be the 9800M GT lol. Up to 9700M GTS it's still G84/96 (8600GT based, G96 being 65nm) so -
