    MSI GTI 780 GX

"The GTI 780GX has a 17.3-inch 1600 x 900 display (with the option to boost it to 1920 x 1080) and weighs a workout-worthy 3.85kg. Justifying that heft is a Core i7 Extreme Edition 2920XM CPU which'll hit 4.16GHz in Turbo mode, thanks to a "Cooler Boost" heat-sink that'll stop the laptop from singeing your flares. Paired up with such a meaty chip is 16GB of DDR3 RAM, a GeForce GTX570M (itself with 3GB of DDR5 inside) and space for two (two!) HDDs that each hold up to 750GB. You'll also get a Steelseries gaming keyboard, THX Sound and a 9-cell battery."

What is this model? I can't figure out where it fits in.

    2920XM but 1600x900 screen and GTX570?

Also there is already a GX780 with GT555M and 1080p screen, confusing names much?

It will also be avilable with 1920x1080 screen like the old models.

I find the "cooler boost" heat sink very interesting btw. Wonder what that is :)

I think Engadget might have their leak slightly confused.. But it seems like its a GPU upgraded 780.

    I still prefer M18x , although i do not have it ..

Its pointless to get a fast CPU with a SLOW GPU....

570M is only 10-15% behind the 580M when you tweak it properly.

Why do I get the feeling the cooler boost is just turning the fan up and overclocking the CPU?

It might mean we get a bios with unlocked multi control though.

Perhaps this is what MSI is calling the "limited edition" GT780DXR.

not really impressed as we can see these specs on a normal 780dxr. again a company rebranding features to make sales. all gaming series msi have dual HDD.

now, something new and REALLY impressive would be a laptop from msi that included SLI or CROSSFIRE.

CeBIT starts today,March 6th,so let's wait and see exactly what MSI shows off and what is absent from the show.

Speculation is fun but it can lead to confusing the less tech minded among us.

I'm waiting to see the info on the OCZ Vertex 4 with the INDILUNX Everest II controller and possibly Toshiba 24nm Toggle NAND as in the recently relesed SanDisk Extreme SSD.

CeBIT should have alot of new toys for the attendees to drool over.

Sigh actually what i love about the GT70 is the new chipset with WIRED LAN KILLER NIC which is awesome since wireless interfere my gameplay sometimes.

    THREE HARDRIVES !!!!!!! 2x intel 520 + 1TB HDD = OWNAGE PC

    4 New touch buttons

    OPTICAL audio ...

I would trade mine + $$ over these upgrades loolol

The current models use a headphone/optical jack.

This. I really wanted to go with an MSI, becuase I love their look, and genuinely like the brand. However, the lack of SLI or Crossfire is what swayed me to ultimately go with an M18x. Yes, I'm paying significantly more for it, but for what I was already paying for a souped up 783, I was able to land an M18x with less bells and whistles (that I'll be able to put in later when my wallet has recovered), but with 580M SLI :)
