Hi everyone,
My friend went to some low quality repair shops and his BIOS got off the MB and it looks very bad, I have no experience how bad it is?! but if anyone knows how to fix it or replace it I'll really appreciate.
His motherboard is the one with i7 6820 and I didn't even find it in any online store in case he wants to replace the whole motherboard.
The BIOS chipset number is not clear but I found those numbers on it (25B640S16) (PP3357) and start with the letter (Exxx) the manufacturer.
I'll really appreciate any advice so I can help him.
Thank you in advance.

WTF!!
Why did anyone tried to remove that poor chip with a pry bar?
One pad is dead, the trace is still there, so its possible to scrap the soldermask a bit and solder a jumper wire, and it also goes to a resistor nearby, so its an easy fix for anyone used to soldering smd components.
Remove all that solder with some flux and solder wick, make sure all the legs are still attached to the chip, solder chip back into the 7 remaining pads, use fine wire to jump/connect the missing pad to the trace/resistor, and it should work, baring the reason he went to the repair shop..Dr. AMK likes this. -

The Flash should be a MXIC w25q64fv or near that, its a 50 cent to 1€ component.
As far as I know, the BIOS files available on the MSI site are just update packages and not full BIOS, so, if the chip needs to be replaced you need a dump from another pc(and will lose the original windows key if it was in the BIOS, as well as the serial number will be the same as of the dump donor, but I never had a problem with that.
When I did laptop repairs that involved the BIOS I would always do a dump of the original chip unless it was dead(some where, mainly in Acer and Lenovo mobos, but those where old laptops used and abused).
What was the problem that made your friend send the laptop/mobo to the repair shop?Dr. AMK likes this. -
I got the bios and EC from this link and I thought it will be a complete BIOS file to be flashed?!:

I'll tell the technician to try getting a backup from the flash if it still working.
