    Hey NBR!

Just wanted to show you how the numpad and trackpad switch between the two. All you have to do is press the "numlock" in the top left corner and it will effortlessly switch between the two. The red outlines for the numpad look great and clean as well.

    Geno,

Is there an aftermarket haptics motor that can be installed in the touchpad? If so, from where might I be able procure one?

I think we only need the specs of the original (power and connector) to accommodate any other motor we want. I would like to know as well :) With time I have gotten a bit more used to it, but haptic feedback should help a lot.

    Geno,

We would really appreciate your help here...

If I can get the specs for the haptics device I can have a reseller put one in when I buy it.

We only need to know the voltage, and max power than can be supplied. Geno is the community manager and does not have such info readily available. We will need to work with MSI directly but remember they might now want to disclose this info. Maybe on my free time I will test with very small motors.

    Ryzeki,
Geno is still part of MSI - his job is to make the customers on this forum happy and answer as many questions as he can. Therefore he could easily pass this thread up to his superiors and ask for the voltage and specs for the haptics device. It might take a while though... ;)

Haha mason2smart, I know Geno, and believe me, MSI is a huge company. It is not as easy as you might think (specially if MSI is unwilling to divulge the information). Give Geno some time. Hopefully he will find info. If not, we will have to figure it out ourselves :)

Its a simple cell phone vibrator motor that is used, I have one and it works but I do not have the plug to use it correctly. I will go back to trying to resource the plug. The motors are around 5 dollars on ebay.

You will also need a supporting EC firmware in order for the signal to function.
It's possible that the existing EC does not have this signal enabled.

It does have the function enabled I have tested it on the 009 model. Other models this could be different.

I think the original titans should have an easier time making the haptic feedback function, but the latest models might not even have the power connector.

I hope they left it in ! Would be like my razer blade pro touchpad without it - never know if the numpad registered a press or not...
