For those who have been tracking the Owner's lounge, and the Keyboard issues thread, you know there are some issues (for some people).

I am testing my friend's laptop based on the keyboard issues, but I am also finding some additional issues with this laptop.

The screen doesn not dim or brighten. I've tried using the S-bar application,
Fn+ up arrow / down arrow, as well as using the numpad, but the brightness control doesn't respond at all.

I've tried windows brightness control on win 7, no dice.

Anyone who bought this laptop, double triple check for all functions. I am going to comb through this very carefully tonight before giving it back tomorrow.

Please post / share your results.

    Thanks.

    ** Update ***

This is issues has been resolved. Just re-install the 'official' Nvidia drivers from MSI website, and the problem went away.

Brightness using Fn+Up Arrow/Down Arrow working fine for mine. S-Bar is version 20.011.05137.

Keyboard types fine. When viewed straight down, the keys around the "O" do seem dimmer. I would say mine looks like this one. Those keys don't quite uniform either.

Relax, this issue also is on my GX660 sometimes. Just restart and it will fix it.

Restarting doesn't fix it in this case. The dim function doesnt work at all.

Thanks Mr. Seabass. It appears, it's a driver related, and not Hardware. That's one item off the list.

I need to close this thread. I guess I'll need to contact the site admin..

might want to update the original post with what to do in the meantime so if anyone has the same problem can easily fix it.
