    Hi all,

So I bought the GT780DX-277US at a local computer store, didn't have the patience to wait and order a custom one. I did add an additional 8GB of RAM and a SSD drive.

My next upgrade is the network card, the current one sucks, so is it possible to install the Bigfoot Killer Wireless-N 1103 3x3 card without much trouble. Is it has simple has removing the old one and installing the new one.

Oh, where can I order this card. Only place I could find was ebay.

    Thanks :)

No need to create an entire thread for this topic. This has been discussed numerous times in the owner's lounge thread, and you can find a search link there at the top of post #1, HERE. If you are going to replace the stock card with the 1103, you will have to do the third wire antenna mod for the card to perform at full spec. Also the stock card is a BT/Wireless Combo, so you will loose BT functionality..... but if BT is needed, you can always use a USB BT dongle...... however, you will no longer be able to use the BT button on the control-bar. If you wish to retain use of the control-bar BT button, then I would suggest you upgrade to a better combo card, such as the Intel 6230.

    :)

The wireless card is only one piece of the wireless networking puzzle.

Will a Killer 1103 with 3rd antenna upgrade pair well with your current router or will that need to be upgraded also?
