It's the same OS but different edition so it should be fine. However, make sure the limitations with embedded don't affect you.

Is it true that win7 is not supported after 6th gen?

Also maybe one can be kind and provide complete list of drivers needed, its for win8.1. Can find links myself just need to know drivers needed.

    Please excuse for terrible English/grammar.

Yes, Win7 is not supported by MSI. Use what MSI provided because other OSes aren't supported, besides, Win10 is so much better than Win8/8.1/Win7.

For SSD, you can use default driver and the Windows format tool will take care of the parameters for you automatically.

MSI included windows 7 in their chipset driver installation for 8th gen processors though.

You're right. Some manufacturers such as Intel does offer drivers for other platforms from the same driver package and you can still get the system to work with other OSes.
If you look hard enough you can definitely find the drivers for some platforms, and the rest lands on BIOS support.

At first I really disliked windows 10. I wasn't a fan at all, but it takes some getting used to. After running it for about 2 months, i don't think i can ever go back to windows 7. Despite what people say, windows 7 is so much slower then windows 10. Why would you want to downgrade and go backwards? Just need to tweak some settings and that's it. Its not as bad as it seems, and I used to hate it lol.

Yes +1 for the hardware and software upgrades, but also -2 for the clutter W10 brings to the desktop.
W7 was so much more cleaner in its UI.

How about creating a customized post-install script on your installation so it can take care of these issues before you even get to start using it?

If you use the chip-set drivers from the official MSI support page, yes. As i showed before, they modified their chip-set package.

Thats for the i7 8750H, 300 series chipset in the GS65. I don't know how much more different yours can be.
