Hi there, I have MSI GT740 and I want to upgrade video card to Nvidia GTX 260M - is it possible, the slot MXM 3.0 are the same, but what about the voltages ? With temperature and heatsink I can handle. Thank you in advance.

Yes. Voltages, hmm, more like amperage. Check your power adapter, should be at least 6 amps to support this card.

You know, you could also spend 4 times that much and buy a 7970m, its likely to work, or 3x on a 6970m which will run super hot. Really I recommend the 5870m which is about the same price as gtx 260m but a good bit faster.

Might still run pretty hot, you could also try a gtx 470m:

    That would be awesome.

BTW I have a 6 amp power adapter if you need one.
