My concern that I need laptop 17 inch has real 4K UHD that can watch movies or play gaming or some video editing.

It will be great if anybody could give some feedback to me MSI GT73vr Titan 4K

[IMG] Hello my friend. You no speak Americano? :hi:

On a serious note, why do you need 4K? The FHD 120hz/5ms screen provides a better overall experience. It's very smooth and fluid and the fact that it's 120hz / 5 ms means no tearing in games. Add to that, it has very good color reproduction and since it's FHD 1920x1080, that means you won't have to deal with the crappy DPI scaling of Windows 10 since you would be able to view it at the native resolution with the default 100% DPI Scaling and still be able to see stuff normally whereas with 4K things would be very small so you'll be forced to use DPI scaling and we all know how Windows sucks at that.

I don't think MSI uses real (RGB vs RGBW) 4K displays. Maybe they've changed that with the new laptops coming out this summer but I doubt it.

Thanks for your feedback but why are so many companies promoting 4K screens ? Does that mean the screens are not really 4K so the problem is that the screen MSI GT73vr FHD is TN not ips as well as GT83 Titan :(.. really I'm confused.. do I have to buy MSI GT73vr 4K or not

    RGBW vs RGB..

Wait is this right? I could have sworn MSI was using the Sharp panels on the GT73.

@edit1754 ? Do any pentile 17" 4K displays even exist?

    GT73VR uses a true 4K AUO display. https://www.notebookcheck.net/MSI-GT73VR-6RF-Titan-Notebook-Review.181123.0.html

Fortunately I'm not aware of any not-true-4K 17.3" panels, only 15.6".

But yeah, concerns are absolutely right for MSI's current 15.6" '4K' models, particularly the GS63VR.

How much gaming do you do? If not "a lot" then why are you even considering such a large, bulky machine, especially if you're frequently moving and/or traveling?

It sounds as if you would be better served with something like a Dell XPS 15.
