Hello, so i purchased my laptop 2 months ago, and since then when i play a game, he flashes black screen, and then gets back to the gameplay, to do it again and again, and it will never stop. I already installed Windows again, have all my drivers up to date, and nothing seems to work. If you can help me it would be really appreciated. The error it gives when the game crashes is Application has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware.
Best Regards.

Have you tried to upgrade the vBIOS, and BIOS version?

Go-to the NVIDIA control panel - Manage 3D Settings - Global tab - Power Management - Change to Adaptive or Maximum Power.
Just keep it off.of Optimal.
Check.if that helps. -

Next option would be to disable Optimus / MSHYBRID if your laptop has that.
Btw. Which games is this happening with? Or is it all of them.
Also just to be on the safe side, do a clean driver install after using DDU.Last edited: Jan 13, 2017 -

Also I'm sure you have already done this, but just to double check you update both Intel and Nvidia drivers right ? -
-
You have already tried almost everything. If this started happening almost recently, then the only thing left to try would be to give older drivers a shot. If that also.doesnt help, it might either be the GPU over heating or about to die.
Has this been happening since the beginning? -

Don't worry about Optimus, GT72VR doesn't have it. You can only use dGPU.

If that is the case then it might be an issue with the GPU.
Maybe give older drivers a shot once. And disable Gsync if it's not already disabled. -

I was monitoring my GPU in MSI Afterburner and the memory clock would reach the likes off 1810 Mhz when my graphic card only goes up to 1443 Mhz, is this causing the issue?

This might actually be an issue with the Micron VRAM. Which can only be fixed with a firmware update. I would get in touch with MSI if possible. -

Bios and firnware are here

Try disabling gsync i have seen gsync have issues in some games. Such as divinity original sin.
In that game if i have gsync and vsync on and then disable vsync the game the frame rate jumps around it gets choppy and crashes in about 5 mins.
If both are on or gsync is off all is good.
By termos did you mean terminal?
Hit the windows start icon and type cmd.

Guys I monitored my GPU in MSI AfterBurner and during the crash both power limit and voltage limit reach the maximum value which is 1, so I think that is why the games are crashing. What can I do to solve this?
-
I have the same exact problem. Except my screen only goes black once and then if I try to unminimize the tab it just crashes my whole comp with a Blue Screen of Death. I've noticed that the problem happens when my laptop's 120hz screen goes over 60 fps.

I have also been having this issue. I have only had the laptop for a few weeks and it is already a major issue. Msi are useless in helping with this and i just get sent through to an indian call centre that basically read off scripts and literally say update the bios or firmware. Done both of these with little to no results. Tried turning g sync off. Tried contacting windows and getting my system looked at. Tried testing different games also to see if this made any difference. I noticed that when playing super hexagon and stanleys parable there were no issues whatsoever. However, when i played just cause 3 the game crashes almost immediately. I also tried testing programs to see if this was a conflict with steam somehow but it seemed the only program that crashes is unreal engine 4. In other words, a confirmed conclusion is that the issue is the graphics or should i say the issue occurs when something that is graphically demanding is opened. Msi seriously need to fix this issue fast. I feel like ive wasted nearly 2 grand and im a student so thats quite a lot for me...
UPDATE:
Despite the fact that i have deadlines at work and need this notebook, upon calling msi customer service again they have simply told me i will need to get it repaired which will take 15 working days...this is ridiculous...Last edited: Apr 3, 2017 -

To resolve this issue the next step would be backing up any files you have and doing a clean install. You'll need a USB with at 4GB of space if you don't have the any Windows recovery media.
If you don't have recovery media, visit the link below, download the tool, run this, select the option to create media for another PC, Select the USB and the media tool will create the recovery ISO.
For Windows 8.1 visit- https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows8
For Windows 10 visit- https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10/
Make sure all your files are backed up before proceeding to the next step.
1. Put the USB into your system and restart your computer.
2. Press the F11 key to enter the boot menu as soon as the computer begins to boot, select the USB and press ENTER to load the Windows setup.
3. Click install now and click through the various options.
4. Once you get to the option to "upgrade" or "Custom", click on Custom.
5. Remove all recovery files, partitions, and wipe your primary HDD.
6. Your drive should say "unallocated", select the unallocated drive and click next to reinstall Windows.
