    Hello everyone.

I own a GT72S Dragon Edition with GTX 980 and and I'm wondering if it is possible to exchange 980 for 1070 without any problems besides installing new drivers ?
Second thing, selling a 980. I would buy a GTX 1070 only if I would be able to sell 980, which is, from what I've learned, a bit of a problem ?

Not possible due to new architecture design. Only way is to sell your current laptop for a new model that has the 1070.

@bcpl You can use MSi trade in program to get a newer GT73VR.

Buying MXM cards at the current price is just absurd, don't support the companies/people selling at 800+usd for a 1070.

I wouldn't mind paying this amount of money for a 1070, I'd prefer to do that rather than change the laptop to GT72VR mainly because of the unlocked 6820HK in my GT72S which overclocked to 4 ghz makes a difference, but then what I am supposed to do with 980 ?

Where can I read more about it ? Does it only apply to the US or does it apply worldwide? I'm from Poland and I've never heard about it.

Thank you for the mention @Mobius 1 you da' bawz !

But yeah, I can get you cards and laptops into Poland. I also have a partner in Poland, but I think I'm still relatively more affordable, last I checked.

    Am I going to lose G-Sync ?
Temperatures ? Lower or same ? 980 is around 80-85 in games like Witcher 3.

Yes you will lose G-Sync during the upgrade also you'll need to mod your drivers upon each nvidia driver release. However the upgrades to pascal are worth it. Make sure you get version v 1.2 gtx 1070 mxm card as to make sure you have a version that doesn't crash.
