Tom Ho informed me that the GT729 will be canceled also. He said MSI will be coming out with new Gaming laptops after October but he didnt say what kind. Has anyone else heard about this.. I know the GT628 was canceled..

Hopefully this means a new chassis design.

Na not really and i'd rather have the chasis as it is, this could mean possable implemention of the new AMD platforms or even I series, if anyone else read on the main page yesterday, HP were prepairing already to go mainstream with i series, so im pretty sure msi will do the same, maybe a revamp of the internal cooling though?

Try 5850 or 5870 seeing as they're supposed to be announced around that time.

No disrespect or anything but I think that's wishful thinking.
It would be great if it ever came true ;)

Actually i think its more then wishful thinking now, ati will be going to combat nvid 3 series gpus so im guessing it wont be too long now.

    Either way morrrrr powaaaa
I hope i can upgrade to something newer then the 4850 though, and i may need to drive on a qx processor soon.

(5 series GPU details leaked in the gaming thread i think ;) )

Thats weird, there's a lot of people that have laid down money for this comp, and it was pretty close to the release date, no? Why would they just dump it?

If it did come out with a 5850 or 5870 that would be sweet :notworthy:

MSI already confirmed they will be releasing 15" and 17" i7 gaming rigs by the end of the year but what GPU they will use hasn't been announced.

Mobility 5000s are due to go into production in November so an "after October" release on a new MSI gaming rig does coincide.

Here's hoping they lose the red trim.
