This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    GT729 brings two step-ups from existing 725 series.

    • The support for 1066 mhz DDR3 memory, now on speed with the latest technology.

    • 1GB of graphic memory, up from 512MB in the 725; sadly its still DDR3, thus probably won't bring much improvement.

    729 seems to silently take the place of 727 (725 with DDR3), which never really took off.

    Probably now, now it gives more product differentiation.
